Privacy notice
Last updated 2 October 2026, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. In short: this site uses no cookies and does not track you; it counts visits only in anonymous, aggregate form. Beyond that, we only handle what you choose to send us.
Who handles your data
The data controller is INK LABS STUDIOS LTD, 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh EH2 4AN, Scotland (UK), which runs this site and Daniele Pol’s services.
For any privacy request, write to [email protected] with “privacy” in the subject line.
What we handle and why
Consultation requests and retreat bookings. When you submit a form, the text passes through our server (a Cloudflare function that does not store it) and reaches [email protected] by email through Resend, the service that sends the site’s emails. If direct sending is unavailable, the site prepares an email that you send yourself from your email app. We use what you write (name, email, role, company if you give it, the situation you describe and your preferences) to reply and arrange the consultation or booking. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
Clients. If you buy a service, we handle the data needed to deliver it, invoice it and meet tax obligations. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
Correspondence. What you send us by email, only to reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest in handling correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f)).
What comes up in sessions stays confidential. If a company pays for the programme, it receives only what was agreed in writing with you at the start.
Please do not send us other people’s data or particularly sensitive information (health, beliefs, criminal records) unless it is necessary.
Who helps us
Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site: to serve pages and protect them from abuse it processes technical request data such as your IP address. Resend (United States) sends the form emails and our email provider stores the messages we receive; transfers to Resend are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics: your browser loads a small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com that measures page views and load times in aggregate, without cookies, without writing anything to your device and without building a profile of who you are. We use no advertising or profiling tools, and the fonts are hosted on this site. Legal basis for counting: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f)).
The controller is based in the United Kingdom, which the European Union recognises as providing adequate data protection (adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR).
How long we keep it
Requests that do not become an engagement: up to 24 months after the last contact. Clients: for the duration of the relationship and then for as long as applicable tax and accounting rules require. Correspondence: up to 24 months after the request is closed.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and you can object to processing (Arts 15–22 GDPR), by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to your data protection authority: the ICO in the UK (ico.org.uk), or the authority of your EU country.
We make no automated decisions about you (Art. 22 GDPR).
Cookies and browser storage
This site uses no cookies: none of our own and none from third parties, neither technical nor for profiling. It writes nothing to your browser: no localStorage, no sessionStorage. There are no advertising tools and we do not follow you from site to site; visits are only counted in aggregate, as explained above. That is why there is no consent banner.
Updates
If this notice changes materially, we will say so on the site. The version in force is always this page. How we use artificial intelligence is explained on the AI transparency page.
